flannel friday: hello winter!

It feels like spring today in the Northeast but I am posting my snow themed felt story from last week's Baby & Me.

This flannel board was inspired by a holiday song that I found on Youtube. You can find it HERE.

I start with an empty board and add each item one at a time as we sing. These are just clipart images that I laminated but you could use felt if you like.

Hello, Snowflake
Hello, Snowball
Hello, Snowman
Winter time is here!

Hello, Hat
Hello, Scarf
Hello, Mittens
Winter time is here!

Hello, Penguin
Hello, Polar Bear
Hello, Reindeer
Winter time is here!

Let’s count them all up!

One, two, three
Four, five, six
Seven, eight, nine, ten! (count BOTH mittens)
Happy winter everyone!

I am already looking forward to adapting this song for all of the seasons!
For summer: ice cream, picnic, popsicle, beach, shells, starfish, sun, sunglasses, suncreen, fireworks, etc.
Or springtime: bunny, chick, butterfly, rain drops, umbrella, flower, bird...
Don't forget about autumn: leaves, apples, pumpkins, jacket, acorn, squirrel, pie...

Thanks for reading!
