I got this cute set from Lakeshore Learning. I pulled the pieces one at a time from my polka dot box, then showed everyone the cute purple house that holds these pieces.

One little house all alone it stood
Then another was built
There grows the neighborhood.

All together they stood

Craft: Paper Bag Houses (from Storytime Katie)
I pre-cut roofs, windows and doors from brightly colored copy paper. To start the craft, I handed out newspaper for everyone to crumple up into a little ball. Then, I brought around small brown lunch bags. Next, I asked everyone to place the newspaper inside the bag and fold & tape it closed. Then I passed out the roofs, doors & windows so the kids could decorate. I LOVED this craft so much! The houses came out soooooo cute!!
Another rainy Friday but we got two nice sized groups of about 16-20 kids. I loved my books and flannel board today. Thanks to all the bloggers who posted these amazing ideas for me to borrow for this super fun theme!!
