Do blacks ruin everything? 

Let's take a trip down memory lane and examine the evidence. Role Exhibit A from 70 percent black Baltimore. [Youths steal dozens of bicycles from city program, Baltimore Sun, May 30, 2014]:

About 50 youngsters poured into Druid Hill Park and stole four dozen bicycles Monday evening that city workers had put out for a popular bike-sharing program, authorities said. 

Bike share programs have failed twice in 70% black Baltimore... because of black crime

City officials said Friday that the Ride Around the Reservoir program is suspended indefinitely while they hope for the return of the bikes, which the Recreation and Parks Department will accept with no questions asked. 

Chris Merriam, director of Bikemore, a group that works to promote bicycling in Baltimore, said the thefts were "incredibly shocking" and a big setback for the program. 

"It's a kids-out-of-control issue," Merriam said. "It's a really brazen crime and really messed up on so many levels." 

Under the Ride Around program, which began in 2006 and expanded from one day a week to four, people can borrow bikes and helmets and ride through Druid Hill Park. Similar programs operate in Carroll Park and at Lake Montebello, and at City Hall for employees during lunchtime. The bikes are also used in the city's Camp Baltimore summer camp. 

All of those programs, which serve about 3,000 people each summer, will be affected by the loss, said Recreation and Parks spokeswoman Gwendolyn Chambers. 

Chambers said replacing the bikes could cost thousands of dollars. Some residents have expressed interest in donating money to replace them, and Chambers said donations can be made at baltimorecityfoundation.org under youth programs.

So the Ride Around the Reservoir bike sharing program was discontinued in 2014 because of black crime. 

Businesses don't disinvest from black communities because of racism, but due to the Visible Black Hand of Economics. For a business to stay in the black, they have to stay away from blacks. 

Which brings us to Exhibit B in the quest to find out if blacks ruin everything. [Baltimore Bike Share program hampered by thefts, lack of returns, Baltimore Sun, August 7, 2017]:

When Baltimore launched its $2.36 million Baltimore Bike Share system last fall, officials said the program would begin with 200 bicycles at 20 stations, then expand to 500 bicycles at 50 stations in the spring. 

Officials have pushed back the program’s expansion to this fall, blaming a delay in receiving a steel component for the bike docks from the manufacturer. 

But the program has also been plagued by a high rate of the bikes stolen or otherwise not returned — so many that Corps Logistics, the subcontractor that operates the program and maintains the bikes, has devoted two employees solely to bike recovery, dispatching them daily around the city to pick up bikes left leaning against trees or discarded in alleys. 

Reviews of the system by The Baltimore Sun on three different days and times last week showed fewer than a third of the 200 bicycles were available at docks across the city — a much lower percentage than was available in other cities with similar programs. 

James Decker, the city’s Bike Share coordinator, said the more than 130 absent bikes in each case could have been in use or undergoing routine maintenance. He added that the app might not be reporting accurately the number of bicycles at each station. 

The Sun counted 53 bicycles available across the city on the bike share app on Tuesday afternoon, 56 on Wednesday afternoon and 61 on Thursday morning. 

The bikes cost $2 to rent for a 45-minute single trip or $15 for a monthly pass, which provides an unlimited number of 45-minute rides for 30 days.

Isn’t it strange that in a near-homogeneous Black community like Baltimore, there seems to be so little social trust and social capital? Doesn’t this fly in the face of Harvard political scientist Robert Putnam’sfamous study that found diversity was the primary cause for a loss of civic engagement.

Remember the story? Putnam was so embarrassed by his study and investigation that showed the harmful effects of diversity that he suppressed the findings for a number of years.

But in Baltimore, the inverse of Putnam’s findings appear to be true. The blacker a community, the fewer people vote, the less they volunteer, the less civility and social trust and the less they work to better the community.

There's so little social capital in 70 percent black Baltimore, one wonders if it might be the epitome of a low-trust society as the embarrassment of multiple bike share programs ending because of black criminality merely confirms the racists were right all along. 

We’ve called this paradox to Putnam's study the Detroit Corollary before. The civilization black people have create in 70 percent black Baltimore and the failure of two bike share programs is just further proof of the Detroit Corollary's existence. 

And it's confirmation blacks ruin everything.
