Friday!
Happy Friday! How is it already mid-August and how on EARTH do we only have one more Friday in this month after today?! Goodness, months are flying! But anywho, here are my Friday Favorites this week...-ONE-
The bell sleeve trend. I have been a little hesitant toward it for a few months, but I think I'm finally embracing it. Not too much bell {the tiered stuff I just can't do} but I'm slowly gravitating toward it. This top was my very first purchase that got me into the trend, but I'm loving these two, too:
Gibson Bell Sleeve Poplin Top
Madewell Ruffle Sleeve Top
-TWO-
This post about my favorite back-to-school items for little kiddos was a fun one to write. Walker is already wearing his backpack around the house and telling me, "Bye, Mommy! I'm goin' to school!" He starts Thursday and I'm so excited for him.
-THREE-
This book is amazing so far. Owen recommended it in one of her recent blog posts and I'm so glad I picked it up at my local library last week. It's a great, easy read! Has anyone else read it? I'm really liking Liane Moriarty's writing style, too, and might be grabbing another one of her books when I'm done with this one.
-FOUR-
"The Real Housewives of Dallas." Who is watching? I just have to say, I have so much commentary on this show and it's crazy to know that these people and I live in the same city...and we are just worlds apart!
-FIVE-
I am so behind the eight ball on this one, but I've been loving listening to podcasts lately! Well, only one, really, and it's Jen Hatmaker's Podcast, "For the Love!" I don't agree with everything Jen discusses or believes in, but I do think she is a riot and have laughed out loud listening to this podcast! If you liked her book, "For the Love," you will love this. I'm also planning to pick up her new book, "Of Mess and Moxie" soon.
-SIX-
TOMY recently sent us this awesome new toy to try out: the John Deere Deluxe Lightning Wheels Tractor, hitting store shelves in a few weeks. Walker is absolutely in love with it! It has motion-activated sounds and the wheels glow in the dark (or "go in the dark," as Walker says) and change color from yellow to green to red as the tractor rolls. Walker is all boy and is so into any cars, trucks and of course, construction vehicles, so when he saw me pull this tractor out of the box, he yelled, "IS THAT FOR ME?!" He has played with it every day this week and has even brought it in the car with him as we've run errands. We're working on him sharing it with his little brother {who has his little hands on it the second that his big brother turns around}, but overall, we have all been really pleased with this fun toy. {Even my husband said, "This is a really cool toy!"} So thanks for letting us test it out, TOMY! You sure made a certain 3.5-year-old's day!
I hope y'all have wonderful weekends!
