Friday Favorites
Well, Happy Friday! I have been so thrown off all week with the short Labor Day week and just have felt like there just haven't been enough hours in the day this week! Anyone else?
We have been watching the news about Hurricane Irma and have been fervently praying for the people in Florida and the Caribbean islands. Our hearts are just so heavy, especially after seeing the devastation of Harvey in our state. Be safe, friends.
But as Matt Lauer says, "Meantime..." Here are some of my favorites this week:
-ONE-
This top from PinkBlush. It is so comfy, so cute and will be perfect for Baylor football games this season with the green color in the stripe. I love how long it is, too, which is perfect to pair with leggings and not have anything showing. ;) This top in an of itself has me excited for fall! I put it on and even my husband said, "I love that shirt on you!" Win-win.
-TWO-
Speaking of fall, North Texas decided to give us a little taste of fall this week -- which we normally don't get until late September or even early October -- and it has been so nice and so refreshing. We have been spending as much time as possible outside this week, even eating dinner outside on the back patio Wednesday night!
We celebrated our amazing weather arriving Wednesday with a little banana bread baking {my great-grandmother's recipe}, I took the boys out to DFW Airport's Founders Plaza for a picnic and to watch the planes take off and land, we went on a family walk when Brandon got home from work, and we ate dinner outside while the boys played. It was perfect.
-THREE-
I was so surprised to hear the news on Monday that the Duchess of Cambridge was expecting the couple's third child! I didn't think they would have another due to her bouts with severe morning sickness, but I'm so excited for them! But I do hate she's going through morning sickness again. I had it something fierce with Walker and I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy. It was the worst thing in the world. I can't wait to see if the newest Baby Cambridge is a boy or a girl! My bets are on Alice if it's a girl and either Philip or Henry if it's a boy. We shall see!
-FOUR-
So I included in my post yesterday how I'm an epic adult and have had the world's most boring Amazon purchases lately...because, you know, #momlife. I would love to know what your most #adulting and/or #momlife Amazon purchases have been lately! ;) Let me know in the comments.
-FIVE-
I have been majorly eyeing this ruffle-sleeve tunic dress from Nordstrom and now that it's marked down 40% {to just $35.40!}, I think I'm going to bite the bullet and get it. It would be perfect for a date night out or even to church this fall/winter, and I love the ruffle sleeve.
