Friday: First One for September

Well, happy September and happy Labor Day weekend! Even though it will still be warm here for about another month, we're planning to toast and say a big "goodbye" to summer this weekend and enjoy the long weekend with Brandon home -- which, speaking of, he's heading home from a weeklong business trip and we're so glad to have him home today. 

Here are my favorites this week: 

-ONE-
Eric & Jessie returns Wednesday, and I'm so excited! I loved seasons one and two and I'm thrilled they're back after a three-year hiatus. They crack me up! 

-TWO-
Thank you all for your sweet comments on my post yesterday about our love story. It was fun to write that all out and we had fun talking about the details and intricacies of the beginning of our relationship. 

-THREE-
I have my eye on a few things from J.Crew Factory {my favorite!} and can't wait to see what their Labor Day sale looks like. Here are some things I'm planning to put in my cart:

-FOUR-
Summer totally threw me off my reading-before-bed habit, but after reading "The Husband's Secret," (which I loved), I'm back in my reading routine. I started "The Nightingale" earlier this week and am really liking it so far. Next up is "Present Over Perfect." Anyone else have any other book recommendations? 

-FIVE-
I'll admit, it's been a long week at home by myself with the boys...but when I think about everything that's going on in Houston and the surrounding areas with all of this flooding, my "problems" seem so first-world. The images coming out of Houston and the surrounding areas have been so heartbreaking and I just can't believe I grew up only 90 miles away from there -- I mean, Houston is where we went to the mall, on dates, saw sporting events, saw family, went to the doctor... 

It's just devastating and my heart just hurts. 

Please keep these people in your thoughts and prayers for the days, weeks and months to come. I shared ways you can help on Wednesday's post; if you feel so inclined, please donate needed supplies and/or money to these victims. It's not over yet and won't be over for a while.
