Weekending
Alright, I'm just going to admit it: last week wasn't my favorite. A lot happened, it was insane and pretty dang crazy and emotional. So, I'm hoping and praying for a better week this week -- who's with me?!That said, we had a fun little weekend. Here's what we were up to:
\\ FRIDAY:
+ The boys and I met my friend Sarah and one of her sons at Play Street Museum. It was so good catching up with her and just having a bit of time to talk and be real with each other. And of course, the boys had fun, too!
+ We had our traditional pizza (and wine) night on Friday night, followed by catching up on some DVR'd shows once the boys were in bed.
\\ SATURDAY:
+ We met my friend Liz and her sweet family at a local pumpkin patch for some fall fun! The kids ran through the pumpkins, climbed up and jumped off of the hay bales, rode the little "train" and played on the bounce houses and playground equipment. It was so much fun!

This is Liz's youngest daughter, Peyton. She and Walker are the sweetest little friends! Before I started staying at home, Liz and I worked together doing communications for a local school district. She and I had the same obstetrician and Walker and Peyton were born two days apart in the same hospital, delivered by the same doctor and went to the same day care before until I started staying home. I just love them!
+ After the pumpkin patch fun, we had lunch with them at a local Mexican restaurant. Here's the big kids watching "Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood" on Liz's phone while the adults had fun catching up. ;) #21stcenturykids
+ I got a manicure and pedicure while the boys napped and Brandon watched college football, and we spent the rest of the evening hanging out and relaxing at home: going for a walk, playing outside and spending some time together as a family! Once the boys were in bed, we flipped between the Houston Astros game {go Astros!} and the sad Baylor game.
\\ SUNDAY:
+ We went to church, then came home and Brandon made his famous grilled cheese sandwiches for lunch. I cleaned the house, did a load of laundry and then we all cuddled up on the couch to watch "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" (again). Then, we got the boys down for naps and Brandon and I were able to take a long nap, too!
+ Walker helped me in the kitchen, which was a fun way to spend some time with him. We made a lot of yummy goodies: my aunt's chocolate chip cookies; her Hot Hammies and hash brown casserole. Yum!
+ We let the boys play outside and we had the windows and back door open; a cold front blew through Saturday night and the weather was absolutely gorgeous!
+ We ran a few errands together as a family, watched the Cowboys game (go Cowboys!), ate dinner together and all went to bed early after a fun-filled weekend.
Hope y'all have a great week!
