Still in a Weekending State of Mind...
Happy Monday, friends! I'm still totally in a "weekending" state of mind today and just couldn't get it together to write a normal blog post after being away for the weekend.I joined my mother-in-law, two sisters-in-law and my mother-in-law's best friend in Canton, Texas this weekend (a little over an hour outside of Dallas) to do their monthly "First Monday Trade Days." We also hit up cute stores like Laurie Anna's and Paul Michael, all of which made me want to re-do my house...and stat. I found some really cute stuff at all three places: a couple of olive buckets, a vintage tabletop fan to decorate with, a cute hanger rack to display the boys' artwork, some vintage Coca-Cola crates, an awesome vintage military-issued ammo box from the 40's, and some delicious-smelling candles. And of course we got not one photo the entire weekend -- we were too busy digging for treasures! ;)
Brandon stayed home with the boys (thankfully taking off work Thursday and Friday so I could go), and they had a ball doing all the fun stuff: cinnamon rolls for breakfast, a trip to the aquarium, our church's fall festival, and lots of walks to our local high school's practice football field to run some energy out. It was so good to see them and squeeze them when I got home; two nights is the most I've ever been away with them just me. We played hooky from church on Sunday so I could spend time cuddling them and being with all my guys before the craziness of the week started back up.
