Weekending

Happy Monday! I felt like our weekend flew by in a flash. Here's what we were up to: 

\\ FRIDAY: 

+ The boys and I started our day out with an extra huge cup of coffee for me and cinnamon rolls for all of us. It was a slow morning and I loved just lounging around with my sweet guys. 

+ The boys and I call each other the "Three Musketeers," and so the Three Musketeers ventured down to the Dallas Zoo for a fun outing! The weather was absolutely beautiful and we had a ball feeding the giraffes, seeing all the animals, having a picnic and riding the carousel. 

+ We met some friends at the park after naps, ran a few quick errands and came home to a surprise: Brandon was home early from work! It was nice to start our weekend an hour or so earlier. 

+ We did our traditional pizza dinner, and Brandon and I watched "The Parent Trap" before going to bed early. 

\\ SATURDAY: 

+ It was Emily's daughter's first birthday, and we were thrilled to celebrate her Saturday morning! Of course, no detail went unnoticed and it was a precious birthday brunch for sweet Betsy! 

This is a horrible picture of Knox and me, but we had to give it a good college try! ;) 

+ We had a very low-key afternoon: football, naps for everyone, laundry and some cleaning and organizing. Brandon grilled hamburgers for supper and we called it an early night -- I was worn out! 

\\ SUNDAY: 

+ We made a visit to a winter wonderland...and may or may not have seen The Big Guy. I'll let you be the judge of that. ;) 

+ Our Sunday was very relaxed: lunch out, naps for all and lots of purging for me: closet clean-out, drawer clean-out and some pantry organizing. #adulting
