What's Hap-pinning Wednesday: Halloween 2017

Halloween this year was just so special and sweet! Walker is absolutely at the age where he understands it and totally loved yelling, "Trick-or-Treat!" and Knox was just amused at the spectacle of it all and kept saying, "Mine, mine!" when he was handed candy {meaning he wanted us to open it right then and there for him to eat on the spot}. 

We changed things up this year and went trick-or-treating with our friends Victoria and Jared and their boys Smith and Sawyer in their neighborhood. Even though it was chilly, the kids had a ball doing it together {they're all four best little friends} and the adults loved laughing at them and having a little glass of wine to go. ;) 

Our boys were dressed up as astronauts, or "Neil Arn-strong" and "Buzz Ah-drin," as Walker said. They were precious! {You can find their costumes here.} It had rained all day {wahhh!} but it actually cleared up right as we were leaving to trick-or-treat. Knox had the cutest Freshly Picked "Space Shuttle" moccs to wear with his costume, but I left them at home after pictures because I didn't want him to run them in the puddles of water. But my gracious, they sure were adorable! Cannot wait to don them this month as we're out and about.

And now for pictures from the day: 

+ I woke up early and made a donut/kolache run for the boys to have a special little Halloween treat. 

+ I got home and got everything set up from "The Great Pumpkin." ;) I found both of their plates in Target's Dollar Aisle. Walker got this book and Knox got this one. They loved waking up to their special surprises! 

+ It was costume day at Walker's school {also known as, "His Teachers are Saints Day"} and so he got to wear his costume, which he loved, of course! They went trick-or-treating from classroom to classroom and had lots of special Halloween-themed snacks and activities. 

+ And Knox got to hang out with me! We watched "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown!" together, which was super sweet. {His outfit can be found here: onesie and pants.} 

+ After naps and dinner, it was time to trick-or-treat! We met our friends at their house and let the boys trick-or-treat in their neighborhood, which was a complete ball. Every house was giving out candy, it was chilly {so unlike Texas this time of the year!} and we all just couldn't quit laughing at the boys running from house to house yelling, "Trick-or-Treat!!!" and holding out their buckets for candy. 

All in all, it was such a fun, sweet Halloween! Hope y'all all had wonderful ones!
