Weekending

We had a pretty low-key weekend at home, which was so nice. The weather was super cooperative (and in the 60's!!!) on Friday and Saturday, which gave us some motivation to get outdoors and get some fresh air.

Here are some of our weekend highlights:

+ Grabbing Chick-fil-A and having a little afternoon lunch and visit at my in-laws' house.

+ The boys did lots of playing with my mother-in-law's toys and read lots of books with her, too.

+ I had a haircut on Saturday morning, so Brandon took the boys to a local diner {aptly named, "Local Diner,"} for breakfast...

...while I got two inches chopped off of my hair to try a "lob," (AKA: a long bob). My hair was super dry and damaged at the ends, so I figured I'd try something different and let it grow back a little healthier. Afterward, I stopped in for a cup of coffee at an amazing coffee shop nearby, which has tons of gluten-free and vegan options -- I'm definitely going to go back and try their pre-preprepared cookie dough!

+ We all got outside and did some much-needed yard work: Brandon raked the leaves while the boys jumped in them, and I pruned our rose bushes and trimmed our hedges.

+ Thanks to McKinney, Texas-based Nature Nates (who sent us an awesome box full of goodies on Friday), Walker and I had a little quality time Saturday afternoon making PB & Honey Bites, which they sent the ingredients and recipe for. He LOVED them!

+ I mentioned on Instagram on Friday that we're doing "modified Whole 30," which is basically not cutting out all dairy and still enjoying some wheat here and there. The boys eat what we eat, so I can't cut those things out altogether, but we are doing our best to eat more whole foods and giving ourselves grace when we don't do 100%. Anyway, I made salmon, mashed cauliflower and these delicious Brussels sprouts for supper on Saturday night, and everyone gobbled it up -- a win!

+ The boys had some sweet matching PJ's on {find them here} and I couldn't resist snapping a pic at that preciousness. And then, story time with Daddy before calling it a night.

+ Sunday's biggest adventures included a trip to Whole Foods for me to snag some of their supplements, which were on sale for 25% off over the weekend. {The sale is over, but I've heard that Sprouts is having a sale on supplements through Wednesday!} And meeting with a Realtor to get the process started of listing our house later this year. It's early, of course, but we just want to see where we are, what we can afford, what we need to do to our house to get it ready to go on the market, etc.

I hope y'all have wonderful weeks! Happy Monday!
