Happy {Good} Friday, friends! I'm so thankful for this weekend and beyond grateful that we serve a risen Savior! It's Friday, but Sunday's coming!
Well, we have been keeping a little secret...
We are moving!!!
It's not far -- about 20 miles across the DFW Metroplex -- but it's a big change for us! We simply needed more space with two growing boys and also needed to be closer to Brandon's work for commuting purposes. And, in the "wants" category were much better schools for our boys. So, we signed a contract on a house in early February, listed our current house in mid-February, sold it in about 36 hours and are moving next Friday. Eeek!
We are so excited -- a little scared to leave what and who we know, of course -- but very thrilled about the future and beyond thankful for how the Lord provided. I'll share more details in the coming weeks, including some inspiration photos for the house and rooms in it.

I have been so engrossed in "American Dynasties: The Kennedys" and can't stop watching it! I realize this makes me such an old lady to admit to watching documentaries, but I love history and this family is so interesting to me.

Ashley monogrammed the boys' seersucker swimsuits, and I just adore them! I'm going to sneak them in their Easter baskets!

What are everyone's Easter plans? We are planning to go to one of my best friends' mom's houses for dinner and to let our collective four boys have an Easter egg hunt on Saturday evening. These are our friends who recently moved to Austin and they're coming up for the holiday, so we're thrilled to see them. On Sunday, we are planning to go to my in-law's church since we are moving right by it and want to try it out to see if it's perhaps our new church home.
But I was looking back at pictures from last Easter and oh my heart! Time is such a thief.

And speaking of Easter, it is so much more to our family than the Easter bunny, egg hunts and baskets filled to the brim. It is about the Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I'm so grateful God sent his son, Jesus, who died for each and every one of us. And y'all, this gift of salvation is just that: a gift. It's free! It costs you nothing! I know that in this world of "tit-for-tat" and "there's no such thing as a free lunch," that is a hard thing to comprehend. But, I pray wholeheartedly that if you don't know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you would come to know Him. I promise you, it is the best decision you will ever, ever make!
