In the story Easter Croc, Roger Riddy's new pop-up and lift the flap book, children will discover that the only way one gets eggs from the Easter Bunny is to use good manners.
The Easter Bunny has finished her rounds and she has not left any eggs for Crocodile. Croc really would like an egg so he sets off to search for one.
Croc drives to the city and sees Zac the zebra. Croc grumpily asks if he could have the zebra's egg but Zac politely says 'No, Sorry.' Croc continues his search for an Easter egg and asks an elephant and a giraffe for their eggs, both politely say no. Now Croc is very, very grumpy and he races off to find the where the Easter Bunny is hiding. Will Croc yell at the bunny and demand an egg or will he calmly and politely ask for an egg?
The illustrations by Marie-Noelle Horvath are bright and fun. Children will see several animals pop-up from the page and behind a flap door they will find the Easter Bunny, with many beautifully decorated eggs.
Easter Croc is not a boardbook but it has sturdy thick card paper pages that will withstand the handling of many young readers. Other Roger Priddy book titles include Happy Dog and other Feathered Friends and Quirky Bird and other Feathered Friends, both from the Alphaprints series.
I do hope that the Easter Bunny leaves eggs at your house this year.
