Friday Favorites: First One for Friday

Happy Friday!

-ONE-
Thank you all for your sweet words about Knox on Wednesday's post. He is totally handling the cast like a champ, and even went to preschool and BSF this week, where they said he was an old pro. So proud of this little guy!

We have had a slower week this week and things are winding down, and my little sidekicks and I enjoyed getting snow cones together on Monday after naps. I love a good snow cone stand!

-TWO-
Our bathroom still isn't finished. Six weeks today and I'm about ready to lose my ever-loving mind with these contractors who decide to show up to work at 11 a.m. (if they show up at all). Fingers crossed it'll be completed this week. And yes, I lay awake at night dreaming of the review I'll be leaving them on Yelp, Facebook, Google and the Better Business Bureau.

But, to distract myself from the horrendous remodel situation, I've had lots of fun decorating our house. This little nook right below our staircase in the entry way was a challenging one for me, but when my mother-in-law suggested a pew bench, I went on a mad search for one and finally found it online at Kirkland's {here} -- and was able to use a 20% off coupon, too! (Excuse the price tag still hanging off the side; I was trying to take a picture of it to see if I really liked it before removing anything, ha!)

The faux fiddle leaf fig tree came from HomeGoods, and Brandon found the "Let's Stay Home" print on Amazon {here}, and I just framed it in a simple wood frame from Target {here}.

-THREE-
We had a fun mail week last week and I'm excited to share with y'all some of the fun things we received.

First up were these absolutely adorable earrings from Southern Stix Boutique, a Texas-based business (which I love) started by two sisters-in-law. I wore these earrings to dinner last Friday night and got complimented on them by a cute 20-something girl and so I knew I must be wearing something right! ;) Thank you for sending these to me, Southern Stix Boutique!

Next up were the TOMY Toomies bath toys the boys received from TOMY! We needed new bath toys something fierce, and they loved how fun these were to play with in the tub and how they were really bubble-focused. (And I loved that two of them suctioned to the side of the tub.) Walker's favorite was the Fountain Rocket and Knox loved the Bubble Blast Train. I personally had some fun with all the bubbles with the Foam Cone Factory, ha! Since Knox can't bathe for another two weeks, Walker's been having all the fun with these for now, but you better believe Knox is coming after them the second he can get fully immersed in water. ;) {You can purchase these at Buy Buy Baby!}

-FOUR-
We are going to the beach soon, and I am pretty much a freak about sunscreen and covering my skin. (And this is coming from the girl who would tan often in high school and every day in college -- so much so that my skin was nearly purple it was so dark, YUCK! Get out of those tanning beds! And apply SPF!)

Anyway, I have been searching for a rash guard for myself because that white sand and sun do me no favors at the beach. I finally found this one in black at Old Navy (where else?!) and really like the feminine detail on the back.

My mother-in-law is a Costco member and found Brandon some rash guards in-store there that are actually really cute, so if you're a Costco member, be sure to hunt for those for the man in your life. My favorite for the boys are these from Amazon (again, where else?!).

-FIVE-
We got the boys' preschool pictures back this week and seriously, I just want the cheesy picture people to take all my money because they're so darn precious. They are so adorable and I can never resist a sibling picture!
