Review: Hugo The Flying Firefighter

‘Let’s go Wilco!’ Hugo the elephant and his trusty aeroplane Wilco are leisurely flying over Hometown  when they they notice a problem at the Pigdon’s house.

Hugo the Flying Firefighter tells the story of a humble and unexpected hero, who thinks quickly and does what needs to be done when there’s  a fire at his neighbour’s house. 

The people of Hometown are lucky to have Hugo hovering above as they are too busy going about their own activities to notice the smoke.

The book includes an illustrated map of Hometown which is great for following Hugo’s journey and initiating further discussion with children. Bright and bold painted illustrations couple perfectly with the cute and adventurous story, making it perfect for ages 3 - 5.
