We usually sing this song while we SHAKE our shaky eggs but today we switched it up for tambourines instead (which was really fun & something i ought to do more often):

Two perfect size groups today!! nice theme for summer reading but the books were just so-so for me, probably not one i will repeat without tweaking a little. Not as easy to find flannel board ideas for this one. babies seemed to like the different colored guitars.
although i originally planned to do two lapsit sessions instead of one each Thursday for the summer months only, i find myself changing my mind as we get closer to september. its unbelievably refreshing to have normal sized groups of 16 or so instead of one ginormous class with over 30 babies. going to see how things go this fall, the parents & caregivers seem to really like this schedule.
