kids really liked yelling BOO to scare the campers.
Craft: Paper Bag Lanterns from Oriental Trading and Camper Finger puppets
These were cute and the lantern was easy to put together.
As the crafts were winding down, i passed out scarves for everyone to wrap their stuffed animals in. we tucked them in & sang "Twinkle Twinkle, Little Star", then everyone left the room.
in recent years, i have really streamlined this process because it can be so work intensive and stressful! starting my program at 6:30 instead of 7 pm AND pushing back the pick up to 12 noon really helps! it gives me precious extra time for photos & pick up prep.
i take a big group shot of all stuffed animals and 3-4 of small groups. this year, i was able to put all 4 photos on a single sheet & print the sheet on our color printer for all 20 participants, while in the past i would use 2 or 3 real photos customized for each participant. this was much easier for me and everyone loved it just as much!

Sleepover Pick Up Party:
I printed photos from the wild night of camping for everyone to take home. Participants also received pencils, notebooks, stickers, tattoos, finger puppets and fruit snacks.
This is definitely my favorite part of the event; all the kids and parents are so happy & appreciative! definitely makes all of the planning, prep & hard work worth every minute!
this year, i also set up a table with camping themed books, photo props and a fishing game from OTC. we even had a Camping Pretend & Play Toy Set to give away to one lucky winner.
