What's Hap-pinning Wednesday: My All-Time Amazon Favorites + A Few New Purchases
Happy Wednesday! Like any living, breathing human on this planet, Amazon Prime is my jam. I used it before I had kids, but man, my Prime bill started adding up once Walker and Knox were born! ;) Whether that pack of diapers I realized we needed during 2 a.m. feeding, or a birthday gift that I completely forgot about, to makeup/beauty products and even household cleaning products, we Prime the heck out of everything. These are my tried-and-true, hands-down, I-always-buy-on-Amazon favorites, and below are a few new purchases that I've loved:
For me:
+ My favorite shampoo and conditioner ever that I always order on Amazon because I simply don't like to take my boys into Sephora if I can help it, and I order on Amazon since we have free Prime shipping (meaning I don't have to spend $50 to get free shipping from Sephora). This shampoo gives the best volume to my fine, thin hair and I love the way it smells.
+ This glycolic cleanser is something I use once or twice a week with my Clarisonic and I really can tell a difference in my skin in terms of smoothness and clarity.
+ Also on the glycolic train, I have been using this eye cream for a little over a year now and it's my favorite. It's not super thick (I have a big issue with anything thick clogging my pores), goes on smoothly and isn't greasy, and I do feel like it helps with fine lines and dark circles.
+ Any time I need to reorder brush heads for my Clarisonic Mia 2, I order them on Amazon and buy the generic brand. They work just as well for a fraction of the price!
+ This concealer is an all-time favorite for me! I've been using it since a little after Walker was born and I love it! I use it under my eyes with a concealer brush and also put it on any blemishes on my face and I feel like it does a wonderful job covering, concealing and not being too goopy/runny/thick.
+ Brandon and I have both been taking this organic activated charcoal daily for a while and we really love how it helps bloating. I have a hard time with regularity post-kids and I feel like this does a great job helping with that and reducing bloat. You can read all about activated charcoal and its benefits here; it's so interesting to me!
+ My friend Emily told me about this laundry sanitizer and I've been using it consistently on every load of laundry for nearly a year. I like to buy mine on Amazon because it's the 90 oz. size, and I've only been able to find it in my local stores in the 41 oz. size. It sanitizes your laundry, removing 99.9% of bacteria! And with two little kids and all the germs they bring home from preschool and church, I like knowing there's a little extra something killing bacteria in my laundry.
For the boys:
+ This is my absolute favorite diaper rash cream, hands-down. I was able to use Triple Paste on Walker just fine, but Knox gets insane diaper rashes in a matter of minutes, and I had many friends from our old church recommend this to me. It clears him up quickly and it's on constant order around here.
+ My boys love these kids probiotic gummies, and I love that I don't have to deal with mixing a powder into their milk each morning -- and risk Walker detecting it and then refusing to drink his milk. (Not that that's ever happened before or anything...) These have a tropical fruit flavor and are easy to chew.
+ I talk about these cups for the boys all the time, but we love them so much. I like to order them on Amazon because they have better deals on a set of two (which we need with two boys). I buy them before the school year begins, put one in their stockings at Christmas and in their Easter baskets, etc. They're the best and do not spill!
+ What mom blog post would this be if it didn't include diapers?! The "Subscribe & Save" option has been so helpful on diapers for both of my boys. (And hopefully one day within the next year, I'll buy my final box of diapers and I'm totally throwing a "NO MORE DIAPERS IN MY HOUSE!" party because nearly five years of diapers over here?! Whew!)
For Brandon:
+ Brandon doesn't order nearly as much as I do on Amazon, but one thing he's constantly ordering and re-ordering is this high-powered wasp/flying insect killer recommended to him by our pest control guy. We have wasps/hornets/bees/dirt dobbers here like crazy from about May-September and this stuff kills them right on the spot. (Just keep way out of reach from kids; it's strong stuff.)
New Favorite Purchases (for me):
+ These Tinkle Razors that I saw from both Amy Bowden's Instagram (love following her, BTW) and Elizabeth's blog have been so interesting to me. They're baby straight razors that help remove peach fuzz from your face (something I know I have to deal with now that I'm in my 30's and also post-babies #hormones) and also help remove the junk that can clog your pores. I was really hesitant to do this at first, but once I did it on my face a few times, I became more relaxed and was also shocked at how much it removes. I'm a convert!
+ I also found this from Elizabeth's blog. This microneedling tool has been the coolest thing I think I've purchased from Amazon lately. (Although what does that say about my life?! Ha!) The microneedling tool is a roller covered with teeny tiny needles that you roll over your face. It's supposed to help your skin absorb products, as well as help with collagen production, acne scars, wrinkles and overall skin smoothness. I've been using it since Friday and can already tell a difference in my skin.
+ Ketone Test Strips that tell me where I stand in the rank of Ketosis and if my body has any traces of Ketones in it (or not). These are so helpful to both Brandon and me, and honestly so motivating for me when all I want is a giant chocolate chip cookie. Ha! I'm not really self-motivated so anything that can be a "game" to me, I'm all over it.
