Weekending

Happy Monday, friends! I can't believe we're already in mid-September and only have one more Monday left in this month. Time is absolutely flying.

We actually had a full weekend but managed to squeeze in some family time, too. Here's what we were up to:

\\ FRIDAY:

+ The boys and I had a lazy day: play time, a trip to Target to let Knox pick out a toy for being potty trained and lazing around while it rained. I wish I had some tried-and-true potty training tips, but the thing that's worked for our boys both times is to let them tell us when they're ready -- and reward with marshmallows. :)

+ Friday night, we attended Play Street Museum - Flower Mound's "Pajama Jam & Story Time" event. We were invited to attend this event and it was absolutely precious! The kids got to wear pajamas and, in addition to having a ball playing at the museum, they got to take part in their bear-themed evening: bear crafts, bear snacks (Teddy Grahams, so cute), read books about bears, and they got an adorable goody bag filled with the book "That's Not My Polar Bear," bear stickers and some fun Play Foam

We hadn't yet been to the new Flower Mound location of Play Street Museum, but I can assure you we will be back. We love PSM, but this location was extra precious! It was a park theme with a play structure (complete with a slide), an adorable pretend post office, house, diner, pet store and the typical PSM tables with play foam, colors and of course, Walker's favorite, the astronaut-themed activity mat. It felt bigger to me than the other PSM locations and the boys thought the big pretend tree in the center was so cool. We will for sure be back! {Special thanks to Play Street Museum - Flower Mound for inviting us to attend Friday night!}

\\ SATURDAY:

+ We had a lazy morning together as a family and then got dressed to go to Grapefest in downtown Grapevine.

I wore my "Game Day" shirt from HomeGrown and green/gold earrings from Tenfold Collective in hopes of seeing our Baylor Bears win, but alas, it was a sad loss. Sigh.

+ Our friends Liz, Chris, their girls, and Chris's mom joined us for Grapefest, a huge outdoor wine festival that's catered to families with petting zoos, carnival rides, face painting, lots of food and of course, wine! We all had a ball.

\\ SUNDAY:

+ We went to church and the boys were so precious telling us about Noah's Ark and all they learned about the great flood in Sunday School.

+ Our Sunday afternoon was actually crazy busy: I did three loads of laundry, unloaded the dishwasher, had our groceries delivered via Instacart, Brandon washed both of our cars, we did some work to the yard outside, cleaned house, etc. It was busy but we felt better prepared to tackle our weeks by doing it all.

I hope y'all have great weeks!
