toddler time: PUMPKINS update for 2018

So we have a couple of changes to our annual PUMPKIN themed toddler programs this year!

First, i'm in LOVE with this new Folkmanis puppet! here is the rhyme I wrote:

I picked this pumpkin at the patch
It looked so perfect, orange and fat.
A better pumpkin I'll never find.
Oh my goodness, there's a mouse inside!

I brought this puppet (and the new apple w/worm one also!) to all of my preschool visits. i would always ask "what does a mouse say?" so i named him Squeaky. the kids liked to pet his soft fur.

i also tried a new pumpkin craft this year! i cut orange cardstock pumpkins and placed them in a basket. 

i invited the kids to choose a pumpkin from the patch to decorate with brightly colored arms, legs and stickers. we hung a ribbon on the back for easy hanging at home.
