Belated Weekending
I have felt like I just couldn't catch up yesterday, so I'm sharing our weekend a bit late.\\ FRIDAY:
+ We met my friend Stacy and her kiddos at Play Street Museum and the kids just had a ball playing together while Stacy and I caught up.
+ Friday night, my college roommate Brittany and her family came over for dinner and to let the kids play. They have two boys just like us, so we had four boys (who just love each other!) playing together: 5, 4, 3 and 2. So loud and crazy, but so much fun!
\\ SATURDAY:
+ I spent my morning doing a podcast with Kelsey Peacock for her Essential Life Podcast and it was SO MUCH FUN! I was honored she asked me to be on and I'll be sure to share it with you once it's live.
+ I wish I would have taken pictures not just on Instagram, but I did a little bayalage to my hair and I really love it! It's really subtle, but gives my hair a nice contrast and just a little something. I'll share pictures on Friday. ;)
+ We had a super lazy rest of the day: cleaning, laundry and such. We are super cool!
\\ SUNDAY:
+ We made Joanna Gaines's homemade biscuits {from the Magnolia Table cookbook} for breakfast, and they were delicious! I have made a lot of things from the cookbook and I put say, it doesn't disappoint. The cookbook is currently on sale on Amazon for $17.99 (down from $29.99).
+ Our boys are really into fighting and arguing with each other lately, so I pulled out the "Get Along Shirt" and made them wear it for a few minutes until they could apologize. They love each other so hard, but they also fight like cats and dogs and can just be mean sometimes!
+ We had lunch at Central Market and then ran some errands, finishing up at our home away from home, Jabo's Ace Hardware. The boys love looking at the chicks and ducklings and the big rooster outside, too.
+ We are going skiing next month, so we had the boys try on their ski clothes to make sure everything fit. And I couldn't quit laughing thinking of that kid in "The Christmas Story" who says, "I can't put my arms down!"
Since we know they'll grow, we ordered little OshKosh bibs/jackets from Amazon and some snow boots from Target.
Have a great Tuesday!
