Friday Favorites: First for January

Happy Friday!

-ONE-
I know everyone (including me) is really watching what they eat -- and drink -- now that January is here. But you better believe we soaked in every last calorie last week, and here was Knox on Sunday at Cinnaholic demonstrating exactly how we felt eating ALL THE THINGS before Tuesday.

And speaking of food, we ate so well last week! I made my homemade lasagna and Joanna Gaines's salad from the Magnolia Table cookbook for Christmas Eve dinner:

My dad's grilled beef tenderloin, my Nana's brown rice casserole, green beans and sweet potatoes (for Christmas Day dinner):

And on Sunday morning, Brandon made Joanna's buttermilk pancakes, also from the Magnolia Table cookbook

-TWO-
And speaking of the cookbook, I'm loving it! We have made a few recipes out of it and I'm going to attempt her homemade biscuits this weekend. It's currently on sale on Amazon for $17.99 (down from $29.99). It's worth every penny in my opinion.

-THREE-
My mom got me Lysa Terkeurt's book, "It's Not Supposed to Be This Way" for Christmas and I LOVE IT. I have really high expectations of people and holidays and how I think things should go (and how people should be) -- and get insanely upset and disappointed when they don't go or don't act how I think they should -- and this book has reminded me how unrealistic that actually is. This is worth the read!

-FOUR-
I saw Christina talk about Museum Putty on her Instagram Stories last week and I immediately Prime'd it for $5.21. It's a soft Play-Dough-like putty that you put on the bottoms of drawer organizers (among other things) to get them to stay put in drawers. I have had the hardest time with my silverware organizer, makeup organizer and junk drawer organizers staying in the same spot and not flailing all across the drawers. This stuff WORKS! I am so glad I did it!

-FIVE-
I asked y'all on my Instagram Stories last week about any concealer recommendations. By far the most popular response was Tarte Double Duty Beauty Shape Tape Contour Concealer. I got it in earlier this week and am really liking it thus far!

I hope y'all have wonderful weekends!
