Weekending

It's Monday again! How did that happen so quickly?! I feel like weekends absolutely fly by. Here's what we were up to (and yes, I realize I totally need to get IN more pictures, ugh!):

\\ FRIDAY:

+ My parents gifted us a membership to the Fort Worth Museum of Science & History for Christmas, so the boys and I met my friend Nicole and her daughters for a fun morning there. It's the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo right now, and since the museum is on the rodeo grounds, we had it practically to ourselves. It was wonderful! We are really looking forward to using this membership this year.

+ Friday night, we had pizza and wine and watched the "Fyre" documentary on Netflix once the boys were in bed. If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it! Usually by Friday night I'm falling asleep on the couch as we watch a show, but I was totally engaged in this show and couldn't get enough!

\\ SATURDAY:

+ We got a ton done around the house and then after naps, I took the boys to their friend Peyton's birthday party at Small World Big Imagination. Peyton is the daughter of my good friend Liz, and she was Walker's very first friend (and future wife, ha!). Brandon stayed home and got some stuff done and then met us and Liz, her husband and kids for dinner at Chuy's afterward. We finished the night with cookies from Tiff's Treats. Always fun hanging with our great friends!

\\ SUNDAY:

+ Brandon let me sleep in until 7:40 a.m. -- a time I haven't seen in a while! I know it's silly to call 7:40 a.m. "sleeping in," but hey, #parenthood.

+ We spent our morning checking off major items on our ever-growing house to-do list, and then had lunch at Hopdoddy Burger Bar. It was delicious! (A giant bowl of Parmesan Truffle Fries -- need I say more?!) We then walked to Barnes & Noble to let the boys pick out a book, and then sat in the sunshine and enjoyed our random 61* temperatures. Walker picked out a Star Wars early reader, and Knox, of course, chose a Peppa Pig book. We're heavy into Peppa right now!

+ I then took at two-hour nap and we went for a walk, did some yard work (SO MANY WEEDS!) while the boys played in the backyard, and finished our night with breakfast for dinner (pancakes, scrambled eggs and bacon) and a rousing game of Zingo! We got that game for Christmas and we love it! It's such a cute little game for kids -- and even 2.5-year-old Knox was getting into it!

Hope y'all have wonderful weeks!
