What's Hap-pinning Wednesday: Easter Rewind
Happy Wednesday, y'all! I hope everyone had a great Easter spent with those you love. I fully intended to get this post up earlier than today, but, life happens and here we are. ;)We spent Easter in my hometown with my family and it was so amazing! We also had gorgeous weather and that was such a nice change from the typically rainy Easters we've had in previous years.
Brandon was in Canada all last week and flew in on Friday, and we picked him up from the airport, came home to load the cars, grabbed a quick lunch at Gloria's and then hit the road.
We got to my hometown in the late afternoon, then just enjoyed an evening visiting with my parents and sister. Then, my grandparents; aunt, uncle, and cousin came over to my parents' house for dinner. It was so nice getting to see everyone!
Saturday morning, we took our time getting moving and then headed to a little art show they were having on the lake. There's an adorable little store there and of course my dad let the boys get ice cream before lunch. Anything goes with grandparents, ha! ;)
We browsed the vendors (we got a beautiful hand-blown glass wine stopper for my mother-in-law's birthday and some homemade soaps) and then had lunch from a vendor set up there. It was such a gorgeous day!
Knox got to "drive" the Mule back to the house and the boys napped while I got some Easter baking done, my mom made some flowers for her photo backdrop, and the guys got to work!
My mom made this adorable backdrop for us to take Easter pictures in front of! She's so talented.
The boys dyed eggs with my mom, we tested out the photo backdrop, had hamburgers for dinner, and then my dad took us on a little sunset boat cruise.
Sunday morning, the boys awoke to their Easter baskets!
We got dressed for church, took a few pictures before we left, and enjoyed a beautiful Easter Sunday service at my home church. The boys even went up to the front for the children's sermon and it was so cute!

The church had a cute little area set up to take pictures, so we all gathered there to snap some photos. And then, of course, leave it up to my family to accidentally break the backdrop. Ha!
After a quick change, my parents hosted Easter lunch at their house for our extended family. It was so delicious and we were stuffed. My mom had each family unit take a photo in front of the backdrop and they all turned out just precious!
We ate lunch, let the kids have their Easter egg hunt, and then they got to open their Easter gifts. It was a beautiful day to celebrate our risen Savior!
