Weekending
Happy JULY! Wow, this summer is just flying by and I can't believe it. Here's how we spent the last weekend in June:
\\ FRIDAY:
+ Brandon took off work and we drove down to get the boys. They had spent the entire last week at with my parents for "Camp Foxy and Papa" and had a ball at VBS, my mom's store, playing in the lake, eating tons of ice cream and getting spoiled rotten by their grandparents. We missed them so much and it was so, so good to see them and kiss their sweet faces!
+ They were exhausted after VBS and took a three-hour-long nap! After that, we went to Summer Fest at my home church (where they did VBS all week) and got to ride in a little train, play games and eat hot dogs. It was so cute!
+ We rounded out our evening with a sunset boat cruise on the lake. The boys had fun showing us how they jumped off the boat and swam back to the ladders. They're getting so big!
\\ SATURDAY:
+ We left for home on Saturday morning to give my parents a much-needed break. On our way home, we stopped at Buc-ee's (the biggest convenience store with the cleanest bathrooms and best food!) for lunch and grabbed some kolaches, cinnamon rolls and pastries to have for breakfast the next day.
+ Saturday evening was spent unpacking, doing laundry and getting the boys to bed early to get back on schedule.
\\ SUNDAY:
+ We wanted a family day that didn't involve sitting in the car together for four hours (ha!), so we decided to have lunch at Joe T. Garcia's and then take the boys to the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History.
Joe T.'s is always delicious, of course, and we had a wonderful shaded seat on their gorgeous outdoor patio. And bonus: we got there right as they opened at 11 a.m. and didn't have to wait in line. (If you ever go to Joe T.'s, just remember that it's cash only and get there early!)

The rest of Sunday was spent napping, washing the cars and getting a ton of stuff done around the house -- a typical Sunday. But, we're excited for the short week ahead and our upcoming beach trip! Have a good week!
