City of Seattle Wants Your Input on Public Safety

Thank you for visiting publicsafetysurvey.org. Through this website, Seattle University administers the citywide Seattle Public Safety Survey. The survey is sponsored by the Community Oriented Policing Services Office, the Seattle Police Foundation, and the Seattle Police Department.

The purpose of the survey is to solicit feedback on public safety and security concerns from those who live and/or work in Seattle. A report on the survey results is provided to the Seattle Police Department to assist them with making your neighborhood safer and more secure. Information from these reports can be found on Seattle Police Department Micro-Community Policing Plans website.

The survey is accessible on our homepage from October 15th through November 30th of each year and is available in Amharic, Arabic, Chinese, English, Korean, Oromo, Somali, Spanish, Tagalog, Tigrinya and Vietnamese.

Please tell your friends, family, co-workers and community members about the Seattle Public Safety Survey and feel free to post the survey link on your social media when it is being administered. Public safety and security are community concerns. Please make sure your voice is heard by completing the public safety survey today.

Editor's note: I took this survey and they have a weird 0-100 slide thing to answer questions.  So should it be 63 or 64%? Not sure why they didn't do the five answer "strongly agree" to "strongly disagree" thing.

Also, they ask a question no one can answer about whether cops use the law or their own personal opinions when policing. That's not a valid question.

Also,
People in the neighborhood do not share the same values.

That is bad phrasing.  It's likely that people share the same many of the same values but the actions that follow may vary.

Lastly, they are not including sub-neighborhoods when they ask about where you live.  I had to put down a neighborhood that I am next to but not truly a part of.
