Review: Mitchell Itches
Mitchell is born with eczema. Every precaution taken to stop his itching, fails. When school begins, children stay away from him believing that what he has is contagious, although it isn’t.
Making friends is impossible for Mitchell as the kids make fun of his rash and constant itch. But he always maintains a happy disposition.
Mitchell discovers that he is allergic to several foods and that is a step forward in the battle against his eczema.
His mum helps him to understand what is happening. When Mitchell’s uncle gifts him a guitar and teaches him how to play and care for it properly, Mitchell realizes that when zoned into his music, he is distracted from scratching. This enables him to concentrate on something else, allowing him to gain confidence and make friends.
This is a success story. One that will speak and offer hope to many sufferers of eczema and allergies, who feel their lives can never be normal.
Mitchell Itches is a wonderful example of what you have, doesn’t define who you can become.
The cause of eczema is unknown and common in children. They can grow out of it. Many will develop food allergies before they are five years old.
