Friday Favorites: First One for January
Happy first Friday of January! I hope everyone had a wonderful week. It has been so cold here this week, so we've been bundled up and cozy and enjoyed a relatively low-key week: Brandon went back to work Tuesday and Walker went back to school Thursday, and we're preparing for Knox to start his one-day-a-week preschool next week.
Here are my favorites this week:
-ONE-
I shared two very different, yet very fun things this week on the blog: my experience with Microblading {read that here if you missed it} and a delicious recipe that's perfect for cold months {find that here}. Totally different, but both totally awesome. ;)
-TWO-
A big favorite this week is the Praline Rose LipSense that I purchased from April. I was really hesitant to try LipSense, but April was so knowledgable and even included a cute little card that gave me step-by-step instructions on how to apply and remove, and even followed up with me asking how I liked it, if I had any questions, etc. And seriously, I love this stuff! I can kiss on the boys, eat Mexican food, try a sample of chocolate and kiss my husband -- and it does. not. move. Color me impressed!
-THREE-
I have wanted this knit jacket for a while, but just couldn't justify the purchase for myself around the holidays when we had so many others to purchase for. Well, thanks to some Nordstrom gift cards I received for Christmas, I scooped it up and am so glad I did! It's soft, comfy and super versatile, and I know I'll get a lot of wear out of it this winter and early spring.
-FOUR-
Something I try to do when Christmas is over (aside from packing away my decorations and making my house fresh for the New Year) is purchasing the boys Christmas pajamas for the next year. They're always marked down 60-75% off and, since I can never pass up a great deal, I just order them a size or two up and store them away until after Thanksgiving.
This year, I found some cute ones from Old Navy and Gap Factory for $8-11 per pair! (And even scored a cute matching pair for Valentine's Day, too!)

And another favorite this week (but who am I kidding, they're ALWAYS a favorite) are my little guys who are just snug as bugs in rugs in their jackets and hats this week. It was in the 20's and 30's here (which is super cold to us Texans!) and they loved donning their big jackets, mittens and hats that we only get to wear a few days a year. ;)
