Weekending

Happy Monday, friends! We had a fun little weekend spent with family, and as always, I'm a bit bummed that Monday is already here, but we have a fun-filled week ahead. Here is what we were up to this weekend: 

-FRIDAY-
+ My grandparents were driving through town on their way to Angel Fire, New Mexico, so they stopped by to see our new house and take the boys and me to lunch. Even though it was just a short time spent with them, it was time well spent. I love my grandparents so much and I'm so thankful that my boys get to know and love their great-grandparents! 

+ The workers were still at our house around suppertime and had shut off the water to do some plumbing work, so we had to go out to eat. We decided on a farm-to-table restaurant near us and we're so glad we did; it was delicious! We had this delicious dip to start that was warm pimento cheese with jalapeño, Granny Smith apples, and bourbon chili bacon jam. Oh my word, it was so, so good! 

-SATURDAY-
+ It was pouring down rain, but we had purchased tickets to "Day Out with Thomas" at the Grapevine Vintage Railroad, so we put on our rain gear and made the best of it! The boys had so much fun riding Thomas and loved splashing in the puddles.

+ After the boys' naps, we tried out a new-to-us church! We really liked it, but are going to try out a few more before making a decision. And, we love that there's a Saturday evening option. 

-SUNDAY-
+ We got some things done around the house and garage all day long, so no pictures at all of Sunday. Whoops! Brandon took the boys to the park to play; I did a ton of laundry; Brandon organized the garage; my aunt, uncle and cousin stopped by to see the house; and the boys did a ton of playing outside.
